Faculty and Staff

The mission of Lyon Elementary School is to ensure that all students will be encouraged, empowered, and motivated to want to become life-long learners. The staff at Lyon Elementary School is committed to working collaboratively with students, parents, and community stakeholders to promote excellence in education through challenging and dynamic instruction that will develop intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth in a positive and supportive environment. We find success in each one, some way, every day.

~ November PBIS Focus ~
Be Respectful- Treating someone with respect means that you interact with them in a way that shows that you care about their well-being and how they feel. When you respect someone, you treat them kindly and use good manners. Sometimes it means doing kind things for them or listening to their instructions. Remember to be respectful every day to your classmates, teachers, and family!

Welcome to Lyon, Mrs. Birkett!

We are so excited to introduce you to Lyon Elementary's new Assistant Principal, Rebecca Birkett! Lyon faculty and staff pictured left to right are Mrs. Coco, Mrs. LeBlanc, Mrs. Graf, Mrs.Phelan, Asst. Principal Mrs. Birkett, Mrs. Long, Principal Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Magee, and Mrs. Lacassagne. Welcome to our Lyon family!

Congratulations, Mrs. Barnes!

Our very own, Mrs. Barnes, has been named 2018-2019 St. Tammany Parish Principal of the Year. She has also been named a state semi-finalist in the 2019 Principal of the Year program held by the Louisiana Department of Education. We are so proud of her. We are thankful for her leadership as we learn more, dream more, and become the best LYON LEADERS we can be. Go to our Scrapbook page to see more photos of Mrs. Barnes and our other Lyon Leaders at work.
